Because I never bore you with the same thing twice...

This is an illuminated letter 'K' I did for a poster advertising an academic conference I am organising. As it is a Medieval symposium I decided to go with this idea. I put on some monastic choral music to get me in the mood. It was a bizarre and very enjoyable experience doing this centuries-old activity on a wacom! I think of all jobs in history, manuscript illuminator is one I could go for, notwithstanding all the unpleasant prerequisites like religiosity, tonsuring, and the ascetic lifestyle...

Just in case anyone wants to use this: that's fine, but I'd appreciate it if you let me know.

I'm actually doing a research project on illumination at this very moment. I think it's neat seeing a historical art form being recreated with modern media.

So we are now two people involved in medieval art ! I'm working on roman architecture for more than a week now, each day...
Enough is enough ! I want colors ! I want goldsmithing pieces, stained glass windows and painted walls...
